COUNTY GALWAY
Galway is a county on the west coast of Ireland and forms part of the province of Connaught. The main city is Galway City and the population for the county is approximately 232,000 including Galway City itself.
Galway also has the largest lake in the Republic of Ireland, which is called Lough Corrib as well as a distinctive mountain known as the Twelve Bens and the Maum Turk mountains as well as the low mountains of Slieve Aughty.
Galway is a fantastic county with wonderful scenery and a great social atmosphere; many go to Galway for long weekends and holidays.
Galway has become one of the most sought-after places to live in Ireland, with all kinds of new property developments springing up over the last few years. Property prices in Galway are among some of the highest in Ireland, and as these prices continue to rise, many young people are complaining about not being able to get onto the property ladder. This is a problem that exists throughout Ireland, but especially in Cork, Galway, Dublin, and Belfast.
